
Dubai Ramadan has come to an end and with that the celebrations of Eid or more precisely Eid-ul-Fitr will start all across the Muslim world. Eid is another name of festival, celebration and feast and this year for the first time this Eid another shopping festival will be making its mark in Dubai known as “Shoppiesta” standing for Shop, Savor and Celebrate. The spirit of Eid is warmly felt in Dubai with lighted up roads, trees, shopping malls, buildings and glittering landmarks.
The celebrations of Eid in Dubai normally starts with a small snack followed by Eid Prayers (Mussala Al Eid). Afterwards neighbors, friends and relatives start hugging and wishing each other "Eid Mubarak" (Have a blessed Eid) or “Id sa‘id” (Have a Happy Eid). Children also enjoy as they mostly make quick pocket money in the form of “Eidi” meaning "gifts of Eid" given to them by their elders....
