Honeymoon Activities in Dubai
Besides the stunning cityscape and long, white sandy beaches there are plenty of attractions and activities to keep you busy during your romantic trip. How do these sound?
The crystal clear waters here make it the perfect location for a spot of diving. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced professional, there is a suitable spot for you.
Dubai doesn’t have a natural reef, but you will be able to explore the many wrecks that litter the gulf here. There are even some from before the Gulf War!
Guided Desert Safari
Dubai was originally a desert town, which in recent years has grown to become a modern metropolis. You can still take a trip to the outer edges of the city and explore what it was once like though.
Book a guided tour through the Arabian Desert (well part of it anyway) and enjoy a romantic candlelit picnic at sunset.
For the best views out over the city, a trip to the world’s tallest building is a must. The Burj Khalifa at 829.8m or 2,722ft has stunning panoramic views over the city from its observation deck on the 124th floor.
Buy tickets in advance though as this is a highly popular attraction.
Hot Air Balloon

If you are a little more daring, then take to the air in a hot air balloon! It may be a little windy up there, but this is an unparalleled experience that is truly enchanting. There is no better way to see the city than from the air.
Cruise Down Dubai Creek
For a romantic dining experience, that doubles as a site seeing tour, take a dinner cruise up the Dubai Creek. As the sun begins to set, the city’s skyscrapers light up, illuminating this unique skyline against the night sky. It’s breath-taking!
As well as a delicious, high quality meal and the views, you will also be serenaded by live musical entertainment and be waited on by the bar staff. This is a fine dining experience you’ll never forget.
For a romantic one-on-one, book a table at Pierchic, Dubai’s most romantic restaurant. A restaurant that seems to float out to sea, the building stands on tall stilts in front of the Madinat Jumeirah complex.
Walk along the wooden path to the buzzing atmosphere, which is all down to the extremely long and versatile menu. Enjoy fresh seafood and some of the most stunning desserts in Dubai here.
A Few Things to Note Before You Travel:
As the main religion in Dubai is Islam, there are a few customs you should abide by:
- When out in public places, remember to adhere to the Dubai dress code. Always dress modestly, with no revealing clothing such as short shorts or low cut tops. This is fine however in the hotels or private residences.
- Even if you are married, kissing or getting touchy feely in public is punishable by arrest. So, although it may be hard to keep your hands off each other on your honeymoon, keep that for private.
- Women should not shake the hand of an Arab man, and men should only do so if a hand is offered first.
