Believe it or not, Dubai is home to an abundance of beautiful parks. So, not only is it one of the world’s best shopping cities and renowned for its spectacular architecture, the city doesn’t lack in stunning green spaces either! Discover Dubai’s best loved parks and gardens here:
Located in the heart of old Dubai, between Al Maktoum Bridge and Al Garhoud Bridge, is Creek Park. However, it’s not just any old park. As well as boasting 96 hectares of lush lawns, flower gardens, sculpted mazes and nature trails, Creek Park is also home to the Dubai Dolphinarium and Children’s City play room.
Sounds pretty special doesn’t it? Well, that’s because it is. And to top it all off, the park also has a cable car ride too, so you can take in views of the city whilst 30m up in the air.

Who would have thought that you could access Wi-Fi at a park? Only in Dubai, hey. With Smart Palm trees installed, that pump out a free connection, Zabeel Park is the first in the city to be technology based. Therefore, this green haven is a must-visit.
However, other than Smart Palm trees, the park also has 10,000 real trees! And flocks of parakeets have made this beautifully landscaped park their home.
Zabeel Park also hosts activities, including mini golf and a cricket pitch, as well as various tracks. Plus, The Ripe Food and Craft Market makes an appearance at this park every Friday! Be sure to turn up to Gate 2 to find a selection of goodies worth haggling for. This 47.5 hectare iconic park is full of fun.

This is one of Dubai’s oldest restaurants, but you know what they say: old is gold. And that is certainly true with Al Mallah. The restaurant is much loved by both locals and tourists; it’s renowned for being one of the best shawarma joints in Dubai. Whether you want to dine in or grab and go, this place is a must-visit.
Al Mallah is authentic yet affordable; you can’t fault it. Plus, you’ll be pleased to know that they serve food until 2:30am, so you can enjoy a scrumptious wrap at the end of a night on the town. Be sure to head here for a traditional shawarma and order one of its fresh fruit juices to wash it down. You won’t be disappointed.
The shawarmas in Automatic are sensational. With the perfect amount of pickle and fries to accompany the grilled meat, as well as a generous serving of garlic sauce, a shawarma at Automatic gets two big thumbs up. In fact, it was nominated by the Gulf News for serving up the best shawarma in town!
Don’t miss out on a fresh and delicious shawarma from Automatic, whilst the name of this restaurant may not be the most appealing, the food more than makes up for it.
